The Dancing Dolls dance organization is hosting its annual audition process taking place in multiple citiesFebruary 24- March 1, 2025!! We are super excited that you have shown interest in our organization and below you will find more information to help you in preparation for your audition process. It is important to know that you must not live more than an hour and a half away from our studio locations and practice locations as the team practices multiple days throughout the week and you are required to attend all practices and dance class rehearsals should your dancer make the team. Dancers are required to be between the agents 6-17 To be eligible for our organization. Please be mindful that our team is an all girls team and no boys are allowed to audition for our team. 

 

What is the registration fee for auditions? 

There is a $35 dollar registration fee required per dancer to register to audition for the. This registration fee covers all of your instruction for the entire week and your daughter's admission to auditions on the final day. 

 

What does my dancer wear to audition prep practice each day?

Dancers are required to wear a white T shirt and black leggings each day to rehearsal. We asked the dancers to write their name large on their chest in a black Sharpie as this helps each one of our coaches and instructors to learn the names of the participants that are auditioning. Also we use this as a way to remember names of dancers who are favorable to us throughout the audition week as auditions began the day you walked through that door.

    

What does my dancer wear on audition day?

Dancers that are auditioning are required to make a uniform purchase of their choice from any website to be worn on March 1, 2025 which is audition day. Dancers are not allowed to wear dance costumes from another organization as our owner and CEO coach Dianna Williams deems this as blatant disrespect to the other organization. Uniforms can't be purchased from any multitude of website so please do not break the bank as it is not necessary. The answer is also must wear dance tights and not stockings underneath all leotards and pant suits as it is a normal requirement for all majorette dancers.    

     

Where Will the audition prep practice be held for my respective city? 

Here are the cities that are hosting auditions and the location for your audition prep practice. Please note that your dancer must attend audition prep practice every day of auditions in their respective cities In order to be eligible for auditions on the final day.

Memphis Audition Prep Location: Forest Park High School -3635 Park Ave, Memphis, TN 38111

 

  Where is the actual audition taking place and on what day? 

The dancing dolls is one big organization and our CEO does not believe in separation so each year our auditions take place under one roof! This year the auditions will be taking place in Atlanta GA on March 1, 2025 at  Forest Park High School -5452 Phillips Dr, Forest Park, Georgia 30297. All dancers that are wanting to be a member of our organization must attend auditions as auditions are mandatory to secure a spot. 

 

How can I prepare my dancer in advance for auditions?

 Any opportunity that your dancer has to attend dance classes that teach Majorette,  receive private dance training or attend any dancing doll prep practice it is essential that you do so so that you can be prepared in advance. Please note that the team is not looking for perfection they are looking for potential and any dancer that showcases the drive and determination throughout the entire practice prep week could potentially secure a spot on the organization.
